Farm vacation

Well my sister made it in before the 4th of July and the celebrating began.  All of the kids could hardly stand not being able to light the fireworks.
My nephew Wade from Illinois, has been wanting to ride a horse that didn't take a coin.  So we saddle up a few horses and brought them out to my parents.  That night we were having a picnic out in the pasture.  So a few of us rode out to the picnic location.  Then they got their chance to ride horses.  I think they had fun, because they barely took time to eat.   The next day they were asking me "Did you bring the horses?"
The boys usually visit during winter holidays, so they were happy to get in the combine and cut some wheat.
Addie got to ride in her first district horse show in Kingman last week.  She was pretty nervous, but she had fun too.  Addie even wanted to clean the trailer out before we headed to the show.  Unfortunately, her dad has too many cows and the job was a little bigger than she anticipated.  I got all of the fair entries done, so now it's time to finish projects and do some last minute walking with critters and practice showing.
