New calving barn - About time

 Earlier this week Weston asked me to come to the kitchen.  He proudly told me that  he knew the password to the microwave.  His little fingers showed me  a sequence that would indeed make the microwave run.
In this current oil field crisis we have found that welders work a little cheaper.  Because some work is better than no work.  Ryan, as we know him started to work on a calving shed this fall.  He and Luke designed it.  The frame, and foundation were put up.  Then another crew came in a put some tin around the barn.  Next, I went and picked up several gates that make up the barn. Now the gates are hung and we are just waiting for our lights to come in.  Once installed we will have the calving shed that we should have made 20 years ago.  Oh well, at least we have it now.
Addie had a Red Angus heifer that we call Mini Moo.  She was AI bred one time.  During preg checking she was called open.  That was ok because she is a May born heifer.  But Mini Moo had a little secret after all.  She finally started to show and Luke pulled her into a separate pen when he thought she was near her due date.  Now we have a little heifer the girls call Tiny Moo. The girls were so excited because Luke had not told them he suspected that Mini Moo was pregnant.
It only seems fair that Mini Moo and Tiny Moo were the first mother and baby to spend the night in the new shed.
